Я думаю, что всё дело в методах измерения, принятых в США и в Европе. Однако, хотелось бы услышать ваши веские авторитетные доводы.

Thanks for your inquiry and your support of PowerPro - also, your English is VERY good!
I don't know where that spool you talk of originated, but is must have come for Southeast Asia as that is the only market that we show both European and US Sizes on the same package.
1.) In the US, we underrate the strength of our lines as that is customary here.
2.) For Europe, we show close to the actual strength as that is the custom in Europe. When we translate the US Strength into Kilos, our diameters are not competitive with strengths shown by the European manufacturers, so we have adopted a different sizing convention for Europe.
- Let me explain your example. The line we call "15 lb test" in the US (0.19 mm) has an average strength between 30 and 32 lbs when it leaves the factory. If we discount the strength by 10% and convert to Kilos - 32 lbs * .9=28.8 lbs / 2.2 lbs per Kilo = 13.1 kg. The measurement is accurate. If we were to sell this product as "30 lb" in the US, our market would be disappointed as they have come to expect a line that breaks at 45 lbs as nominal "30".
